Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Versa. For how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Joakim Refsdahl. For privacy-related requests, contact privacy@myversa.app.

2. The Service

Versa provides tools to organise daily tasks, lists, and notes. Features may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or modify the Service for maintenance, security, or business reasons, with or without notice, where reasonable.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live (typically at least 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Violate applicable law or infringe others’ rights (including intellectual property and privacy).
  • Upload or transmit malware, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or other abusive or harmful content.
  • Scrape, harvest, or automate access beyond normal personal use or our documented interfaces, without permission.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.

We may investigate and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or pose risk to the Service or other users.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create in the Service (such as tasks, lists, notes, attachments, and text). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, back up, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law. You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to submit it.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its branding, and our materials are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred. Feedback you provide may be used without obligation to you.

7. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party infrastructure or email providers configured for your deployment. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement where allowed. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if the Service is free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if we discontinue the Service, or for other legitimate reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version and update the “Last updated” date where shown. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example by email or in-app notice). Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania, except where mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise.
